Friedrich Dürrenmatt was born in Konolfingen near Berne in 1921, as son of a protestant minister. He studied philosophy in Berne and Zurich, lived and worked in Neuchâtel, where he died in 1990. Friedrich Dürrenmatt’s books have been published in 44 languages.
