Author
Loriot i. e. Vicco von Bülow, was born in Brandenburg in 1923 and died in 2011 in Ammerland/ Starnberger See near Munich. He grew up in Berlin, was a member of the Akademie der Künste in Berlin and of the Bayerischen Akademie der Schönen Künste and lived as a Prussian on the Starnberger See in Bavaria. Loriot was one of the first Diogenes authors: his humorous writings in ›Stern‹ and ›Quick‹ fired the enthusiasm of publisher Daniel Keel – his books became Diogenes’ first bestsellers.
