»A dazzling writer with a distinctive voice.«Publishers Weekly
»All of Doris Dörrie’s modern fairy tales have a faintly allegorical quality about them . . . Her vision is original, evenhanded and subtle.«Chicago Tribune
»Doris Dörrie is a master of mixed emotions. She provokes laughter where it is least expected, turns panic into slapstick and puts the burlesque back into tragedy. Heavy-hearted fate is dealt with an unexpected hand by sheer chance, and longing turns out to be an obsession.«Die Zeit
